Complete fire and security solutions for Cambridgeshire tea rooms
Jackson Fire and Security is helping a Cambridgeshire based tea rooms protect their premises 24/7.
Danielle Xiao, owner of The High Tea Club located on Mill Road in Cambridge, approached Jackson Fire & Security to help her realise her vision for a designer tea shop, made for enjoyment of the refreshing mix of great food and high tea along with cocktails, wines and beers, cold drinks, coffee and over 70 international varieties of tea.
A Jackson Fire and Security Cambridge-based surveyor visited the proposed site and talked through Danielle’s needs, helping her identify areas of fire and security risk and proposing solutions.
Based on this survey visit, Jackson installed a new fire alarm, fire extinguishers, CCTV system and an intruder alarm, all of which was completed in time for the grand opening.
This fire and security package included infrared detectors for the intruder alarm to protect all inclusion routes in to the property. The CCTV system was made available on Danielle’s mobile devices so she is able to monitor her business from anywhere in the world any time of day.
The fire alarm specified was an L2 system ideal for medium sized premises. The specification of these systems mean that they offer additional detection in an area where there is a high chance of ignition, ideally suited to a food and drink premises where the high risk would be the food preparation area.
Project manager for East Anglia Tom Fletcher said: “We are delighted to help launch a new business in the Cambridge area and support this venture by ensuring The High Tea Club are fire safety compliant and feel their new premises is secure 24/7.
“We look forward to continuing to build on this relationship by carrying out the six monthly maintenance visits for the fire and security systems installed, but by also popping in for some tea and cake!”
The High Tea Rooms owner Danielle Xiao, said: “It was essential that we were fire safety compliant from the beginning and also protecting our new investment with both the fire and security provisions Jackson’s recommended. The Jackson surveyor was really clear in helping me understand what I needed and he came back to me with recommendations quickly.’
“I was also really pleased by the workmanship of the installers. Lukasz and Simon, the Jackson engineers, were really friendly and hardworking and any queries I had were responded to straight away.”
The High Tea Club is now open for business just over the railway bridge at 160 Mill Road, Cambridge.
